YOU'RE A LEGEND

The phrase “you’re a legend” is high praise in New Zealand for a job well done and we think it sums up our new reward and recognition programme.

After a flood of nominations from right across the business, 11 finalists in the inaugural Air New Zealand Legends Awards were recognised at a ceremony in Auckland this month alongside their families and peers. On the night four winners were named and they went on to become the 2011 Air New Zealand Legends.

The awards celebrate Air New Zealanders and their remarkable workplace contributions and achievements across the four award categories – Commercial Success, Innovation, Customer Focus and Leadership.

Air New Zealand has won more than 40 awards already this year for its products, service and innovations. Our people are the driving force behind these accolades and the new Legends programme will share stories of teams and individuals going that extra mile to deliver exceptional customer service, game-changing innovations and outside-the-square thinking, till-ringing commercial successes and strong leadership.
